Manila—(PHStocks)—Philippine stocks continued their rally Monday, 9 September, albeit at a minimal rate. The Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) gained 0.38% or 22.42 points to 5,997.04 – slightly up from Friday’s 0.26% gain.
All counters are in the green, led by the Industrials, which posted a 0.69% gain. The Holding Firms segment followed with a 0.66% increase, while the Mining and Oil sector went up by 0.56%. The wider All Shares index edged higher by 0.38%.
Trading was moderate. Value turnover reached PhP5.4 billion on 759 million shares traded. According to PSE data, foreign buying reached PhP3.48 billion while foreign selling reached PhP3.22 billion. There were 89 gainers today against 53 losers, while 32 stocks were flat.
