SBS Philippines Issues Public Warning Against Online Investment Scams

SBS Philippines Corporation, together with its subsidiary SBS Holdings and Enterprises Corporation, is alerting the public about fraudulent schemes that misuse their corporate names to deceive unsuspecting individuals. Reports indicate that scammers are posing as employees, affiliates, or representatives of SBS Holdings and Enterprises Corporation, offering fake investment or online selling opportunities designed to extract money from victims.

These scams typically involve impersonation, deceptive solicitations, and task-based hooks. Victims are promised quick profits or commissions in exchange for sending funds or completing online tasks, but the perpetrators simply abscond with the money. SBS clarifies that it does not engage in any online selling, investment solicitations, or require advance payments, deposits, guarantees, or money transfers through social media or any digital platform. Any communications claiming to represent SBS via Facebook, Telegram, Instagram, TikTok, X (formerly Twitter), or other online channels are unauthorized.

The company advises the public to remain vigilant: never provide personal or financial information to unknown parties, ignore unsolicited investment offers, avoid suspicious ads or social media accounts, and immediately report fraudulent activity to the proper authorities. SBS emphasizes that protecting one’s finances and personal data is crucial, and any offer asking for upfront payments under the SBS name is a scam.
