DMCI Power Achieves Record Energy Sales in 2025, Boosted by First Wind Project
DMCI Power Corporation (DPC), a leading off-grid energy provider, reported a record 522.2 GWh in energy sales for 2025, a 6% increase from 491.2 GWh in 2024. This milestone was largely driven by the commissioning of the 12.5 MW Semirara Wind Project in the second quarter of 2025, marking DPC’s first renewable energy installation within its generation portfolio.
The company also added two 8 MW bunker-fired power units in Aborlan, raising total installed capacity by 18% to 188.3 MW from 159.8 MW the previous year. Approximately 55% of the incremental energy sales came from the newly operational wind capacity, while the remainder was supported by consistent output from existing plants.
“Achieving our highest energy sales for the 15th consecutive year underscores the growing demand in off-grid communities and our commitment to delivering reliable, cost-efficient power,” said DPC President Antonino E. Gatdula, Jr. “Integrating wind energy into our portfolio aligns with the Department of Energy’s goals to expand renewable energy, particularly in underserved areas.”
Looking ahead, DPC plans a P2.4 billion capital expenditure program in 2026 to develop additional hybrid, renewable, and conventional facilities, aiming to meet the rising energy needs across its off-grid service areas.
