PH Stocks End Rally; PSEi Clings to 6,100

Manila—(PHStocks)—The Philippine bourse ended its record-breaking, history-making rally Tuesday as investors cashed in on their gains. The bellwether Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) slid by 1.08% to 6,104.9 at the close of the trading day after reaching a new high yesterday.

All counters except for the Financials sector also bled, led by the Services sector, which dropped by 1.74% – reversing its strong gain yesterday. The Mining and Oil index went down by 1.55%, while the Holding Firms segment lost 1.44%.

Although around 5.76 billion shares changed hands today, turnover value was only PhP6.68 billion. There were 58 gainers compared to 113 losers, while 43 stocks remained flat.
