PH Stocks Continue Recovery
Manila—(PHStocks)—Building up on its momentum from yesterday’s upturn, the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) index gained 0.71% or 45.73 points to close at 6,518.71 today, 22 March.
Except for the Industrials, which lost 0.12%, all remaining counters remain in the green. Biggest gainer is the Financials index, which grew by 1.38%, followed by the Mining & Oil sector, which gained 1.01%.
Value turnover reached PhP9.32 billion on 769.5 million traded shares. There were 89 gainers against 74 losers, while 31 shares remained flat. The top five most active stocks today are Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. “Common” (PSE: TEL), Ayala Corp. (PSE: AC), BDO Unibank Inc. (PSE: BDO), Universal Robina Corporation (PSE: URC), and Metropolitan Bank & Trust Company (PSE: MBT).
