PSEi Down Anew on Profit Taking

Manila—(PHStocks)—Philippine stocks were down anew on profit taking Tuesday, 25 March, after the market recovery on Monday (24 March).

The mainboard Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) fell below the 6400 level, ending at 6,336.34 – down by 1% or 64.33 points. All counters finished in the red, led by the Mining and Oil index, which dropped by 1.46%. The Financials lost 1.37% while the All Shares index shed 0.84%.

Volume turnover reached 870 million shares, valued at PhP6.74 billion. Foreign buying totalled PhP3.57 billion while foreign selling reached PhP3.98 billion. There were 40 gainers against 117 losers, while 58 stocks were flat.
