PH Stocks Down 61pts

Local shares suffered a severe beating Thursday, with the bellwether Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) dropping 1.57% or 61 points to 3,817.38—just a week after it broke the 3,900-point mark. The wider all-shares index suffered the same fate, declining 1.6% or 46.58 points to 2,859.6 points.

All counters are also in the red, with the Property and Services indices suffering the biggest declines at 2.58% and 2.32%, respectively. Trading volume reached 1.21 billion, worth PhP4 billion, on 12,469 trades. There were only 22 gainers against 114 losers. Thirty one stocks remained flat.
