PH Stocks Rally, Post 1.58% Increase
Philippine stocks listed in the main board PSE Index (PSEi) rallied in February 2, led by Holding Firms and Property sectors, ending their three-day weak performance. Shares in the PSEi grew 1.58% or 60.58 points to 3,891.07 to end trading day Wednesday, with the Holding Firms sector growing 2.45%, and Property segment growing nearly 2.4%.
The Mining & Oil segment also rallied, led by Asia Amalgamated Holdings (PSE: AAA), Manila Mining Corp. (MA), Crown Equities Inc. (PSE: CEI), PNOC Exploration Corp. (PSE: PEC), and United Paragon Mining Corp. (PSE: UPM).
Overall, gainers led losers 76 to 38, while, 62 stocks remained flat.
