PH Stocks Continue Rally; PSEi Nears 6,100pts

Manila—(PHStocks)—Philippine stocks extended their rally and closed the sixth trading day of the year with another record high. The bellwether Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) ended today’s trading at 6,091.18pts, up by 0.7% and gaining ground from yesterday’s almost-flat growth.

All counters are back in the green, with the Mining and Oil index still leading the pack with a gain of 1.42%. The Property sector rebounded with a 0.9% gain while the Financials recovered to post a 0.78% growth from yesterday’s close.

A total of 2.28 billion shares changed hands today, valued at PhP8.54 billion. There were 109 gainers against 73 losers today, with 32 stocks remaining unchanged.
