IP-Converge Inks SPLA with Microsoft to Offer Cloud Solutions
IT and telecommunications provider IP-Converge Data Center Inc. (PSE: CLOUD) has signed a Services Provider License Agreement (SPLA) with Microsoft Philippines to offer cloud solutions and provide better technology and services to its customers.
The SPLA is part of Microsoft’s Volume Licensing program for organizations, which provides companies with the capability to offer software and services such as Web hosting, hosted applications, messaging, collaboration and platform infrastructure to its end-customers.
Under the SPLA, IP-Converge will soon roll out Microsoft solutions such as hosted virtual machines powered by Windows Server, managed e-mail services powered by Microsoft Exchange Server, database hosting powered by SQL Server, Microsoft Dynamics, Lync, SharePoint, as well as IT Systems Management through System Center.
“IP-Converge is determined to provide the most cost-effective set of business solutions that will help Filipino organizations achieve its business objectives and it is important that we are equipped to offer a trustworthy host of infrastructure that will ultimately enhance our service to our customers,” said IP-Converge President Reynaldo R. Huergas. “We found that Microsoft can keep us in line with our company’s focus and is capable of empowering us to deliver customer satisfaction through high-quality solutions, guided by the best IT practices.”
“We are pleased to join hands with IP-Converge in providing the right tools and infrastructure to ensure that Filipino organizations are properly equipped to become globally competitive,” said John Bessey, Managing Director, Microsoft Philippines. “With the trust that IP-Converge has invested in Microsoft, we guarantee that IP-Converge will receive a wide array of cloud services that will positively augment its business operations and provide the best services to its end customers.”
With the signed agreement, IP-Converge can now deliver customized services, let users pay only for the products that are used without long-term commitments, provide the most current Microsoft platform sans extra costs, allow customers to test and evaluate the products before purchase, and even give them the liberty to run the cloud operations from IP-Converge’s data center facilities. These factors offer customers the option to avoid making additional investments and save the trouble of deploying the solutions on their own.
“With the use of Microsoft cloud technologies offered through the SPLA, IP-Converge has become a world-class cloud service provider. Regardless of business size, our valued customers can now take advantage of state-of-the-art business solutions, which caters to every organization’s unique set of objectives,” said Bessey. “We are excited to work with IP-Converge in a combined effort to maximize customers’ organizational growth and productivity, while minimizing costs.”
