PSE Announces 7th Annual Bull Run

The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) 7th Annual Bull Run 2011 is expected to draw 6,000 runners when it kicks off on January 9, 2011 as the first Sunday race in Metro Manila for the year.

Takbo Para Sa Ekonomiya, which will be held at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, is an annual running event organized by the PSE as part of its advocacy campaign to inform the people about the Philippine stock market. The PSE Bull Run has been envisioned to serve as one of PSE’s key marketing projects. This event aims not only to raise stock market awareness but also to promote camaraderie among PSE employees, listed companies and trading participants.

The PSE Bull Run is organized in partnership with title sponsor Megaworld Corp. (PSE: MEG). The PSE Bull Run is also supported by the Philippine Stock Index Fund, PSE Foundation, Century Tuna, CitisecOnline, The ABS-CBN News Channel (ANC), BusinessWorld, and Manila Bulletin. Ayala Corp. (PSE: AC) is this year’s major sponsor. It is also sanctioned by the Philippine Amateur Track and Field Association (PATAFA). The PSE Bull Run has four competitive categories: the 3K, 5K, 10K and now, the 16K races. Winners in each category will receive cash prizes and trophies.
