PH Stocks Slid 1.95%

At the closing of the market yesterday, 11 January, the Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PSEi) tumbled by 1.95% or 80.21 points to close at 4,032.37, as worries of higher inflation triggered funds to shift from equities to US dollars. Trading volume reached 1.85 billion shares worth PhP5.39 billion.

Bears continue to overpower bulls with 104 issues down, 49 up and 32 flat.
