Converge ICT Participates in Southeast Asia Hainan-Hongkong Express Cable System
Converge Information and Communications Technology Solutions Inc. (Converge ICT, PSE: CNVRG) is a party to a Construction and Maintenance Agreement (C&MA), effective 4 March 2022, for the Southeast Asia Hainan-Hongkong Express Cable System (Project SEA-H2X), which defines the terms and conditions upon which Project SEA-H2X will be provided, constructed, operated, maintained, and implemented for the entire duration of the C&MA.
The parties to the C&MA are: Converge, CMCC Infrastructure 3 Ltd (CMI), PP Telecommunication Sdn. Bhd. (PPTEL), and China United Network Communications Group Co. Ltd (CU).
Project SEA-H2X is intended by the parties to address the tremendous growth of the telecommunications traffic between Southeast Asia and Hong Kong by building and implementing a state of the art fiber-optic submarine cable system connecting: Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Hainan China, and Hong Kong SAR.
