Chinese Motorcycle Assemblers to Produce New, Bigger Parts
Thirteen Chinese motorcycle assemblers have committed to produce bigger motorcycle parts to raise their local content with estimated investments of PhP500 million as the Chinese brands continue to grow its market share over Japanese brands on improved quality and cheaper pricing strategy. Joseph Sison, president of the Chamber of Assembler and Manufacturers of Motorcycles of the Philippines (CHAMMP) told reporters during the induction of officers for the newly formed organization, that raising up their local content was decided by the members during their planning session.
