Semirara Mining Subsidiary Receives Certificate of Compliance from ERC

Makati—(PHStocks)—In a disclosure dated August 30, 2016, Semirara Mining and Power Corp. (PSE: SCC) advised the investing public that units 3 & 4 of its wholly-owned subsidiary, Southwest Luzon Power Generation Corp. (SLPGC) started commercial operations at 140MW per unit pursuant to a Provisional Authority to Operate issued by the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC).

Late afternoon on June 8, 2017, the ERC has issued a Certificate of Compliance dated May 15, 2017 (COC No. 17-05-M-00107L) for SLPGC’s 2×150 MW Circulating Fluidized Bed (CFB) Coal-Fired Power Plant located in Brgy. San Rafael, Calaca, Batangas, thereby authorizing SLPGC to operate the plant at its Rated Capacity of 150MW per unit. The COC is valid until May 11, 2021.

SLPGC shall accordingly be filing an amendment of its registration on the rated capacity from 140MW to 150MW with the Philippine Electricity Market Corp. (PEMC)/Wholesale Electricity Sport Market (WESM).
