PSEi Climbs Back to 6400

Manila—(PHStocks)—Philippine stocks rallied on Tuesday, 18 March, buoyed by recovery in regional markets.

The mainboard Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) gained 1.04% or 66.56 points to close today’s trading at 6,466.55. All counters were back in the green, led by the Property sector, which rose by 1.43%. The Mining and Oil index gained 1.17% and the Industrial edged higher by 1.13%. The wider All Shares index went up by 0.92%.

Volume turnover was 2.13 billion shares, valued at PhP7.82 billion. Foreign buying reached PhP3.95 billion while foreign selling reached PhP3.62 billion. There were 97 gainers against 67 losers, while 41 stocks were flat.
