PSE Holds Listing Forum in Pampanga
The Philippine Stock Exchange Inc. (PSE: PSE) recently held a listing forum entitled “Empowering Local Businesses Through Listing” in Clark, Pampanga. The event is part of the ongoing effort of the Exchange to create awareness among potential listing applicants on the benefits of going public and the requirements and processes involved in listing.
The listing forum in Pampanga was done in cooperation with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI). On May 29, 2013, PSE signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with PCCI to form the PSE-PCCI Capital Market Development Committee (CMDC) to undertake various capital market development projects. Since then, the CMDC has undertaken market awareness activities on going public and conducting an IPO such as the PSE-DBP Listing Forum in 2015, PSE-PCCI Listing Forum and PSE-DBP SME Listing Forum in 2016, and PSE-PEZA Listing Forum and PSE-PFA Listing Forum in 2017.
Aside from resource persons from the Exchange, the event featured guests speakers including John Paul L. Ang of Eagle Cement Corp. (PSE: EAGLE), April Lee-Tan of COL Financial (PSE: COL), and Abigail Buenviaje-Magpayo of First Metro Investment Corp. (FMIC).
