Profit Taking Continues to Pull Back Gains

Manila—(PHStocks)—Philippine stocks faced another series of profit taking Thursday, 24 April.

The Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) slid by a further 0.56% or 38.19 points to close the day’s session at 6,731.33. Except for the Mining and Oil index (+0.68%), all remaining counters were in the red, led by the Services sector (-0.98%), followed by Financials (-0.94%).

Value turnover reached PhP6.77 billion on 2.24 billion shares traded. There were 86 gainers against 94 losers, while 39 stocks were flat.
