PHStocks Week in Review: Going Strong
(PHStocks) – Local shares maintained their strong performance for the week, despite minimal declines due to profit taking. The bellwether Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) closed at 4,251.64 points this week, up 0.25% compared last week. The all-shares index, however, shed 0.86% to close at 3,084.74 points.
On a sectoral basis, all counters except the Industrials index posted gains, led by the Mining and Oil index, which grew 1.31%. The Holding Firms sector, meanwhile, went up 1.28%, while the Financials index gained 0.68%.
