PH Stocks Falter; PSEi Fell Below 6400

Manila—(PHStocks)—Philippine stocks fell for a second straight session as tensions in Ukraine bring down global stock markets. The Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) dropped by 0.2% or nearly 13 points to 6,394.6 – falling below the 6,400 level. Only the Industrial and Property sectors, however, were in the red, shedding 0.72% and 1.07%, respectively. The Mining and Oil sector, on the other hand, brave the selloff to gain 0.63%.

Volume turnover reached 3.03 billion shares valued at PhP11.25 billion. Foreign buying was PhP7.09 billion, while foreign selling reached PhP5.58 billion. There were 66 gainers against 90 losers, while 47 stocks were flat.
