Manila—(PHStocks)—The Philippine stock market surged and dropped and rallied and declined for the month of May, riding a wave of positive investor sentiments and macroeconomic fundamentals, topped by a new credit ratings upgrade from Standard and Poor’s, before being pulled down by the ever-present flavor-of-the-month-investing-psychology “Sell in May and go away”, and the end-month bonanza of a slow GDP growth for the country.

Nevertheless, there will always be the gainers, as shown by the list below, which braved the “Sell in May” b.s. (Whatever angle I look at it, it is just profit taking. Pure and simple.)
