PH Stocks Up for Fourth Straight Session
Manila—(PHStocks)—Philippine stocks sustained their growth Monday, 5 May, despite a trading halt amid technical glitch, and defying the weak performance of regional markets.
The Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) gained 0.35% or 23.49 points to close at 6,766.46. Only the Services sector finished in the red; however, the decline is minimal (1.22 points). Leading the gaining sectors was the Property index, which added 0.83%. The wider All Shares index was nearly flat, gaining only 0.07% or 2.67 points.
Value turnover reached PhP4.8 billion, while volume reached 1.66 billion shares. Foreign buying was Php2.59 billion, while foreign selling hit PhP2.05 billion.
