PH Stocks Sustain Uptrend

Manila—(PHStocks)—Philippine stocks continue their growth Thursday, 27 February, on sustained positive market sentiment amid strong corporate earnings results.

The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) went up by 0.51% or 32 points to end the session at 6,354.79.

The Property sector surged with a 2.55% gain today, recovering its losses during the past sessions, while the Industrial sector extended its climb, gaining 1.01%, led by a 5.36% increase in Alliance Select Foods International Inc. (PSE: FOOD).  The wider All Shares index rose by 0.37%.

Value turnover reached PhP7.76 billion on 3.4 billion traded shares. Foreign buying was PhP4.09 billion while foreign selling was PhP3.61 billion. There were 90 gainers against 68 losers, while 44 stocks were flat.
