PH Stocks Sustain Rally, Breach 6,000

Manila—(PHStocks)—Philippine stocks were up for the fourth straight session despite thin trading.

The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) closed 0.31% or 18.51 points higher to 6,005.6, breaching the 6,000 level for the first time this year.

All counters are in the green, led by the Mining and Oil index, which gained 2.25%. The Financials was a far second, posting a 0.55%. The wider All Shares index meanwhile edged higher by 0.14%.

Volume turnover reached 1.27 billion shares valued at PhP4.31 billion. Foreign buying was PhP2.57 billion while foreign selling reached PhP2.34 billion. There were 90 gainers against 70 losers, while 40 stocks remained flat.
