PH Stocks Slide Further; PSEi Keeps Foothold Above 6,000

Manila—(PHStocks)—Philippine stocks continue their decline today, as the Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) dropped by 0.66% to 6,047.52 amid continued profit taking. The wider all-shares index also bled, dropping by 0.5% to close the trading day at 3,816.97.

All counters except for the Financials sector are all in the red, led by the Holding Firms index, which shed 1.06%. The Property sector lost 0.83%, while the Mining and Oil index slid by 0.78%.

Around 1.94 billion shares worth PhP7.01 billion changed hands today. There were 67 gainers compared to 96 losers and 52 unchanged stocks.
