PH Stocks Resume Growth
Local shares rallied strongly on Thursday, with the bellwether Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) gaining 1.6% or 60.34 points to close trading day at 3,834.05 points. The wider all-shares index is likewise on an uptrend, posting a 1.19% increase to 2,887.6 points.
The sectoral indices also did well for the day, with the Services sector continuing to lead the pack with a 2.96% gain. The Holding Firms sector ended Thursday trading with a 2% growth, while the Property sector posted a 1.45% gain.
Trading volume reached 2.04 billion, valued at PhP4.3 billion, on 13,038 trades. There were 95 gainers against 33 losers, while 43 stocks remain unchanged.
