PH Stocks Recover, Post Marginal Growth
Manila—(PHStocks)—The mainboard Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) regained its losses yesterday but closed today’s trading nearly flat – gaining only 0.03% to reach 6,459.93 – up by just 1.92pts.
On a sectoral basis, only the Financials (+0.58%) and the Holding Firms (+0.16%) indices improved today. The Mining and Oil index wiped out its gains yesterday, ending today’s trading 0.63% lower. The Property segment continued its slide, losing 0.43%, while the Industrials segment slid by 0.34%.
Trading was thin today as the market continues to undergo correction. Around 3 billion shares changed hands, with value turnover of PhP4.97 billion.
