PH Stocks Rebound

Local shares made a turnaround Friday, with the bellwhether Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) ending its five-day bloodbath by gaining 0.59% or 22.5 points to close at 3,839.88points. The wider all-shares index likewise recovered, increasing 0.75% to 2,881 points.

All counters were also on a turnaround, capping the week on a positive note, with the Mining & Oil index posting the biggest gain at 3.12%.

Trading volume reached 1.15 billion, worth PhP5.58 billion, on 13,339 trades. Gainers led losers 89 to 35, while 37 stocks remained flat.
