PH Stocks in Red Again

Local shares reversed their positive trend today, with the main board Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) shedding 0.28% or 10.52 points to close Wednesday trading at 3,773.71 points. The wider all-shares index likewise fell, closing at 2,853.66, down 0.47%. Only the Services and the Industrial sectors held firm, managing to pull a 0.8% and 0.3% gains, respectively.

Trading volume reached 3.44 billion, valued at PhP3.85 billion on 11,224 trades. Losers outnumber gainers 80 to 42, while 41 stocks remained flat.

The leading gainers for the day are as follows:

  2. Manila Mining Corp. (PSE: MA): PhP0.035, +9.38%
  3. Tanduay Holdings Inc. (PSE: TDY): PhP3.50, +9.38%
  4. Oriental Petroleum and Minerals Corp. “A” (PSE: OPM): PhP0.014, +7.69%
  5. Prime Media Holdings Inc. (PSE: PRIM): PhP2.14, +6.47%
  6. Manila Mining Corp. (PSE: MAB): PhP0.035, +6.06%
  7. Lopez Holdings Corp. (PSE: LPZ): PhP5.17, +5.51%
  8. Alaska Milk Corp. (PSE: AMC): PhP13.00, +4.84%
  9. First Gen Corp. (PSE: FGEN): PhP11.40, +4.59%
