PH Stocks Extend Growth

Manila—(PHStocks)—Philippine stocks extended their growth Wednesday, 16 April, as the local market takes a break for Lent.

The Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) rose further by 0.75% or 49.52 points to close the short trading week at 6,671.18. All counters remained in the green, led by the Property sector, which gained 1.43%. The wider All Shares index rose by 0.61%.

Value turnover reached PhP8.388 billion, while volume reached 2.65 billion. There were 119 gainers against 63 losers, while 40 stocks were flat. Foreign buying was PhP4.41 billion while foreign selling totalled PhP4.09 billion.
