PH Stocks Extend Declines on China Worries

Manila—(PHStocks)—Philippine stocks continued their downtrend on Thursday, 13 March, amid investor concerns on lower than expected China industrial production data.

The Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) shed a further 0.51% or 32.68 points to close today’s session at 6,429.79. Most counters were still in the red, except for the Property index, which gained 1.26%.

The biggest losing sector today – the Services segment – dropped by 0.8%. The Mining and Oil index lost 0.76%, while the wider All Shares index slid by just 0.15%.

Value turnover reached PhP6.5 billion on 1.8 billion traded shares. Foreign buying reached PhP3.64 billion while foreign selling was PhP2.99 billion. There were 69 gainers against 79 decliners, while 51 stocks were flat.
