PH Stocks Extend Declines

Manila—(PHStocks)—Philippine stocks finished the week lower amid continued selloffs in the market.

The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) shed 0.69% or 46.23 points to close at 6,685.1 on Friday, 25 April. All counters except for the Services index (+0.25%) were in the red. The Mining and Oil index led the losers, dropping by 1.36% followed by the Property sector, which lost 0.92%. Meanwhile, the wider All Shares index declined by 0.51%.

Value turnover reached PhP6.6 billion, while volume was 1 billion shares. There were 67 gainers against 103 decliners, while 41 stocks remained flat. Foreign buying was PhP3.5 billion, while foreign selling reached PhP3.37 billion.
