PH Stocks End 8-day Slump

??????????????????Manila—(PHStocks)—After eight straight days of declines, Philippine stocks have started to pick up as investors take advantage of bargain buys. The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSEi) index went up by 0.83% or 53.36 points to close today’s trading at 6,472.98.

All counters have recovered, led by the Services index, which gained 2.31%. The Mining and Oil sector extended its gains, increasing by 1.93% or 402.05 points, while the Industrial sector gained 0.89%.

Despite only 982 million shares changed hands today, value turnover still reached PhP9.5 billion. There were 103 gainers against 50 decliners, while 51 shares remained flat.
