PH Stocks Edge Higher

Manila—(PHStocks)—Philippine stocks sustained their growth amid continued investor optimism in the country’s macroeconomic outlook.

The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) further grew by 0.4% or 27.63 points to close today’s session at 6,880.44. The market, however, faced a round of profit taking, with the Mining and Oil index losing 1.01%, and the Financials, 0.75%. The gainers, on the other hand, was led by the Property segment, which gained 0.77%, followed by the Industrial sector, which improved by 0.71%.

Value turnover reached PhP14 billion on 2.34 billion shares traded. There were 59 gainers against 119 losers, while 51 stocks remained flat.
