PH Stocks Continue Growth, PSEi Edges Closer to 6,300

Manila—(PHStocks)—Philippine stocks were up for the fourth session Wednesday, 19 February, on continued market optimism. The mainboard Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) jumped by 1.62% or 100 points to close today’s trading at 6,294.62.

All counters were in the green, led by the Property segment, which rose by 2.68%. The Holding Firms sector increased by 2.1%, while the Industrial index went up by 1.45%. The wider All Shares index grew by 1.44%.

Volume turnover reached 2.76 billion shares valued at PhP8.8 billion. Foreign buying was PhP4.77 billion while foreign selling reached PhP3.69 billion. There were 110 gainers against 52 losers, while 42 stocks were flat.
