PH Stocks Close Higher for Second Session

Manila—(PHStocks)—Philippine stocks sustained its recovery Thursday, 6 February, after snapping a three-day decline yesterday.

The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) gained as much as 37 points in the morning session, before finishing with just a 0.1 gain or 6 points at 5,914.59. The Mining and Oil, and Services sectors were the only losing indices, shedding 0.38% and 0.22%, respectively. The Financials went up by 0.32%.

Volume turnover reached 1.05 billion shares valued at PhP5.14 billion. Foreign buying reached Php3.03 billion while foreign selling totaled PhP3.27 billion. There were 77 gainers against 62 losers, while 44 stocks remained flat.
