PH Stocks Climbs Back to 6100

Manila—(PHStocks)—Philippine stocks were up for the fifth straight session Tuesday, 11 February, on investors’ active buying ahead of the earnings season.

The Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) rose by 1.06% or 63.78 points to close at 6,106.03 on the back of market optimism.

All indices were back in the green, led the Property segment, which bounced back from yesterday’s decline to post a 1.54% growth. The Holding Firms sector increased by 1.19%, while the Services index rounded up today’s more-than-1-percent gainers, edging higher by 1.08%. The wider All Shares index gained 0.9%.

Volume turnover 3.89 billion shares valued at PhP6.83 billion. Foreign buying reached PhP4.23 billion, while foreign selling reached PhP3.67 billion, for a net inflow of PhP560 million. There were 100 gainers against 48 losers, while 50 stocks were flat.
