PH Stocks Climb Further, PSEi Breaches 6700

Manila—(PHStocks)—Philippine stocks continued their climb Monday, 21 April, on upbeat market sentiment.

The Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) jumped by 1.44% or 96.33 points after a long market break due to Lent. All counters ended higher, led by the Services sector (+2.22%) and the Property segment (2.21%). The wider All Shares index went up by 1.26%.

Volume turnover reached 1.49 billion shares valued at PhP8.78 billion. Foreign buying was PhP4.72 billion and foreign selling, PhP3.55 billion, for a net buy of PhP1.17 billion. There were 123 gainers against 54 losers, while 39 stocks were flat.
