PH Stocks Breach 6,900

Manila—(PHStocks)—Philippine stocks closed the first trading week of July on a strong note amid positive macroeconomic outlook in the United States.

The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) went up by 0.91% or 62.97 points to close trading at 6,962.28 today, 4 July. All counters are in the green, led by the Property sector, which grew by 1.47%. The Mining and Oil sector was up by 0.91%, while the Holding Firms segment gained 0.89%.

Volume turnover reached 2.2 billion, valued at PhP8.8 billion. Foreign buying reached PhP4.02 billion and foreign selling was PhP4.17 billion. There were 93 gainers against 85 losers, while 47 stocks were flat.
