PH Stocks Bounce Back on Bargain Hunting

Manila—(PHStocks)—Philippine stocks rebounded Monday, 17 March, as investors hunt for bargains after a series of profit taking and selloff last week.

The Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) withstood another round of selloff in the afternoon session, pulling up by the end of trading to post a 0.14% gain and close today’s market at 6,399.99. Only the Industrial and Holding Firms indices, however, are in the green, gaining 0.23% and 0.37%, respectively. The wider All Shares index was nearly flat.

Value turnover reached PhP7.27 billion on 962 million shares traded. There were 73 gainers against 92 losers, while 44 stocks were flat.
