Insurance Sector Posts Robust Income
The country’s insurance industry posted a strong net income growth in the first nine-months of the year due to increase in underwriting and investment income, the Insurance Commission said yesterday.
In a statement, Insurance Commissioner Emmanuel F. Dooc said the industry’s net income jumped by 65.8 percent in January to September this year to PhP20.41 billion from PhP12.31 billion in the same period last year.
