FAS Establishes New Wire Harness Manufacturing Base in the Philippines
Batangas–(PHStocks)–Japan-based Furukawa Automotive Systems Inc. (FAS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Furukawa Electric Co. Ltd, has established Furukawa Automotive Systems Lima Philippines Inc. (FALP), a company that manufactures wire harnesses for automobiles, to be located at the Lima Technology Center in Lipa City, Batangas Province, Philippines, as its wholly owned subsidiary.
The new company, with a capital investment of 1 billion yen, will have a site area of 50,000 sqm and building area of 21,000 sqm. It is scheduled to start operating in March 2013.
