8990 to Build 140ha Township Project in Iloilo

Makati—(PHStocks)—8990 Holdings Inc. (PSE: HOUSE), through 8990 Housing Development Corp., is pouring in at least PhP1 billion to undertake a 140-hectare township project, the largest housing project in Iloilo and the Island of Panay.

Januario Jesus Atencio, president and chief executive officer of 8990 Holdings, said the launch of the Deca Homes Pavia Resort Residences (DHPRR) marks another milestone in the growth of the company.

Atencio said the mass housing developer is bent on “transforming lives” in the communities it serves.

“DHPRR is an answer to the housing needs of Filipinos, especially llonggos, and a fulfillment on our part because we are not just here to build houses but to make lives better,” Atencio said.

Each unit will have an 80-square meter lot and 35.1-square meter floor area with two bedrooms, toilet and bathroom, kitchen, dining and living areas. It will also have Awning type windows, painted exterior and interior walls, colored roofing, Fascia gutter and doors with door locks.

Atencio said the company’s popular pre-cast technology can help make each DHPRR unit available in less than 10 days.

Atencio added that prospective buyers could tap the company’s financing scheme DECA CTS Gold 11 or Pag-IBIG’s housing loan facility for a hassle-free way of owning their DECA home.

The project is near the Iloilo International Airport and downtown area as well as the century-old Pavia Parish Church also known as Sta. Monica Parish Church.

Pavia, which was founded in 1848, is the agro-industrial center for Western Visayas located 9.6 kilometers north of Iloilo City.

Atencio pointed out that the company is infusing over PhP1 billion investments in DHPRR to address the housing backlog in Iloilo and at the same time contribute to the economic activity of the city.

The township project involves the construction of 2,861 single-attached house and lot units with amenities including a clubhouse, swimming pool, basketball courts, chapel and a commercial center and wakeboard park.
