Banks’ NPL Ratio Declines in August

The country’s big banks had a lower gross non-performing loans (NPL) ratio as of end-August to 1.86% from the previous month’s 1.90%.

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) said gross NPL ratio and total loan portfolio continue to show manageable loan quality for the large lenders or the universal and commercial banks.
